According to the info on the disk gained in Disk Utility, the file type is a MS-DOS FAT32 type.īasically I'm right back where I started. Disk Utility recognizes the volume, but it can't be mounted. I went into terminal, using an old fix suggested by Apple to try to detect the volume, and got nothing.

I tried to connect the disk to my computer, but it wouldn't mount in the desktop. However, having wiped it, my camera (an old Nikon) told me "CF Err." On the LCD it told me to format it, which I did. When I wiped it, I retained the original name (disk2s1) and used an MS-DOS type format.

I tried repairing the disk in Disk Utility, just to get an error, but I could wipe it clean, then it mounted on my desktop. The thing is, I can see the disk and the reader in Disk Utility.
